One-pan chocolate cake

Indulge in the ultimate chocolate delight with this one-pan chocolate cake topped with decadent dark chocolate buttercream ganache and toasted desiccated coconut!

Ingredients:

• 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup water
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 tablespoon white vinegar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup dark chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
.12 ounces unsalted butter(340g)
. 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup desiccated coconut, toasted

Directions:

. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
. Add water, vegetable oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
. While the cake is baking , make the ganache, place the dark chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it just begins to simmer, then pour it over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth. Let it cool to room temperature.
. To make the buttercream, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add the cooled ganache and beat until well combined.
. Once the cake is baked, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
. Once the cake has cooled, spread the ganache evenly over the top of the cake and the sides as well.
. Sprinkle the toasted desiccated coconut around the sides of the cake, pressing gently to adhere.
. Slice and serve this indulgent treat to satisfy your chocolate cravings!
