Caramel Nut Tart


• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds), chopped
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a tart pan.
. In a food processor, combine flour, chilled butter, sugar, and salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
. Press the mixture into the prepared tart pan to form the crust. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the 1/2 cup butter. Add brown sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and simmer for 5 minutes.
. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the baked crust, then pour the caramel sauce evenly over the nuts.
. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the caramel is bubbling and the nuts are toasted.
