- In a mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of salted butter, ½ cup white granulated sugar, and ½ cup light brown sugar on high until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Add in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
