For Decoration
  • 1 cup Colored Shaped Sprinkles For making eyes and noses

Equipment

  • medium heavy-bottomed pan
  • Plate

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Grease a plate with butter or cooking spray. In a medium heavy-bottomed pan, combine sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder. Place the pan over medium heat, adding salted butter while stirring continuously.
  2. Once the mixture begins to bubble, reduce heat and stir for about 7-8 minutes until thickened. Pour onto the greased plate to cool.
  3. Once cooled but still pliable, wash and dry strawberries. Encapsulate each strawberry with a small amount of fudge, shaping it into a mouse form.
  4. Roll fudge-covered strawberries in grated chocolate or sprinkles. Shape fudge into a tail and attach to the strawberry. Use halved peanuts for ears and add sprinkles for eyes and nose.
  5. Transfer the assembled mice onto a platter. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
