- Grease a plate with butter or cooking spray. In a medium heavy-bottomed pan, combine sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder. Place the pan over medium heat, adding salted butter while stirring continuously.
- Once the mixture begins to bubble, reduce heat and stir for about 7-8 minutes until thickened. Pour onto the greased plate to cool.
- Once cooled but still pliable, wash and dry strawberries. Encapsulate each strawberry with a small amount of fudge, shaping it into a mouse form.
- Roll fudge-covered strawberries in grated chocolate or sprinkles. Shape fudge into a tail and attach to the strawberry. Use halved peanuts for ears and add sprinkles for eyes and nose.
- Transfer the assembled mice onto a platter. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
