For the Assembly
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a lighter alternative
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack Cheese Cheddar or gouda as swaps
  • 4 pcs Burger Buns Lettuce wraps for gluten-free option
  • 1 cup Lettuce Fresh toppings that add crunch
  • 1 cup Tomatoes Fresh toppings that add crunch
  • 1 cup Red Onions Fresh toppings that add crunch
  • 1/4 cup Pickled Jalapeños Use fresh for a crunchy texture

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the patty ingredients and mix thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty with a small indentation in the center.
  3. Cook the patties on a preheated grill or skillet for about 6-7 minutes per side, adding cheese in the last minute if desired.
  4. While cooking, prepare the chipotle mayo by whisking together the mayonnaise, chipotle pepper, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading chipotle mayo on buns and layering with lettuce, patty, tomato, red onion, and jalapeños.
