  • 1 cup Creamy Coleslaw A homemade or store-bought version can be used.
  • 8 oz Sliced Turkey Any deli turkey works well.
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter Can use olive oil for a dairy-free option.

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together mayonnaise, grated onion, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, paprika, and salt.
  2. Take two slices of rye bread and lay a slice of Swiss cheese on each.
  3. On one slice of the rye bread with cheese, layer some creamy coleslaw.
  4. On the other slice of rye bread, layer sliced turkey over the Swiss cheese.
  5. Carefully place the coleslaw-topped slice on top of the turkey slice, aligning them.
  6. Spread softened unsalted butter generously on one side of each sandwich.
  7. In a skillet over medium-low heat, place the sandwich butter side down and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Once the first side is golden, flip the sandwich, spread butter on the top side and cover with aluminum foil.
  9. Remove the sandwich from the skillet once both sides are crispy and golden-brown.
