Preparation Steps
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together mayonnaise, grated onion, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, paprika, and salt.
- Take two slices of rye bread and lay a slice of Swiss cheese on each.
- On one slice of the rye bread with cheese, layer some creamy coleslaw.
- On the other slice of rye bread, layer sliced turkey over the Swiss cheese.
- Carefully place the coleslaw-topped slice on top of the turkey slice, aligning them.
- Spread softened unsalted butter generously on one side of each sandwich.
- In a skillet over medium-low heat, place the sandwich butter side down and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the first side is golden, flip the sandwich, spread butter on the top side and cover with aluminum foil.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet once both sides are crispy and golden-brown.
