- In a blender, combine the soy sauce, mirin, fresh ginger, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, apple, sweetener, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Cut slits into the chicken legs, place in a zip-top bag, pour marinade, seal and marinate for 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove chicken from marinade, place in air fryer basket in a single layer, and cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
