  • 1 teaspoon Cumin adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano fresh preferred

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and 1 diced bell pepper, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until soft and translucent.
  2. Incorporate 3 minced garlic cloves into the skillet and sauté for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it apart and cooking for about 8-10 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1/2 cup of raisins, and 1/2 cup of sliced green olives. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin and 1 teaspoon of oregano, then stir thoroughly.
  5. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving warm over rice or with tortillas.
