Cooking Steps

  3. Add one pound of ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook for about 7-10 minutes until browned, draining excess fat.
  4. Stir in one can of diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced bell pepper (if using), cumin, and chili powder, then let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add two diced Yukon Gold potatoes and pour in about a cup of water or broth; stir well.
  6. Cover and reduce heat to low, allowing to simmer for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
