  • 1 tbsp Flour All-purpose flour is recommended.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Blend the farmer's cheese or cream cheese until creamy, then add one egg, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest, mixing until smooth.
  3. Wash and slice the strawberries, then toss them with sugar and flour to coat evenly.
  4. Roll out the pastry on parchment paper into a circle about 12 inches in diameter and transfer it to a baking sheet.
  5. Spread the creamy cheese mixture on the pastry, leaving a 2-inch border. Layer the strawberry mixture on top.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, overlapping as necessary, and brush with a beaten egg.
  7. Chill the assembled galette in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  8. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C (350°F) and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Cool on a wire rack for about one hour before serving.
