Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Blend the farmer's cheese or cream cheese until creamy, then add one egg, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest, mixing until smooth.
- Wash and slice the strawberries, then toss them with sugar and flour to coat evenly.
- Roll out the pastry on parchment paper into a circle about 12 inches in diameter and transfer it to a baking sheet.
- Spread the creamy cheese mixture on the pastry, leaving a 2-inch border. Layer the strawberry mixture on top.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, overlapping as necessary, and brush with a beaten egg.
