Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Blueberry Lemonade
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1½ cups of frozen blueberries, ½ cup of sugar, and ½ cup of water. Heat over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely and the blueberries soften.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a minute. Using a potato masher or a fork, gently mash the blueberries to release their juices.
- Grab a mesh sieve and place it over a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the mashed blueberry mixture into the sieve, pressing down gently with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Measure out 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and pour it into the pitcher with the blueberry juice. Adjust the sweetness by adding 1 to 1½ cups of sugar, depending on your taste preference.
- Pour in the remaining 6 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir again until everything is fully integrated.
- Fill glasses with ice to the brim, then pour your homemade blueberry lemonade over the top.
