Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Blueberry Lemonade
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1½ cups of frozen blueberries, ½ cup of sugar, and ½ cup of water. Heat over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely and the blueberries soften.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a minute. Using a potato masher or a fork, gently mash the blueberries to release their juices.
  3. Grab a mesh sieve and place it over a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the mashed blueberry mixture into the sieve, pressing down gently with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.
  4. Measure out 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and pour it into the pitcher with the blueberry juice. Adjust the sweetness by adding 1 to 1½ cups of sugar, depending on your taste preference.
  5. Pour in the remaining 6 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir again until everything is fully integrated.
  6. Fill glasses with ice to the brim, then pour your homemade blueberry lemonade over the top.
