  • 2 cups Raspberries fresh or frozen
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 2/3 cup Sugar adjust to taste
  • 10 large Eggs for custard base
  • 1 2/3 cups Milk whole milk recommended
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla pure vanilla extract
For Serving (optional)
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cut French bread into 1½ inch cubes and layer two-thirds at the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese with 1/3 cup sugar until smooth; dollop over bread cubes.
  4. Scatter raspberries over the cream cheese layer and sprinkle remaining bread on top.
  5. Whisk together eggs, milk, remaining sugar, and vanilla; pour over the layered mixture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Let cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
