  • 3 cups Chopped Kale or use baby spinach or Swiss chard

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the sausage in a large pot over medium-high heat, breaking it apart until fully cooked.
  2. Add diced bacon to the pot and cook until crispy. Transfer to a plate and leave drippings in the pot.
  3. Sauté onions and garlic in the remaining drippings until softened and fragrant.
  4. Incorporate flour into the onion mixture and stir for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken broth and crushed beef bouillon to the pot. Bring to a boil while stirring well.
  6. Add sliced potatoes and simmer until fork-tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream, cooked sausage, bacon, and chopped kale. Simmer until kale is tender.
  8. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve with crusty bread or salad.
