Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather ingredients and equipment.
- In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage or ground beef for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning to meat in the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, beaten egg, and dried parsley until smooth.
- In a baking dish, spread 1/3 of the meat sauce, layer 4 noodles, followed by 1/3 cheese mixture and 1/3 mozzarella. Repeat twice more and finish with remaining meat sauce.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 55 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
