Glaze Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup Caramelizes in the oven.
  • 1 tablespoon White Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used for a twist.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh alternatives are best if available.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh alternatives are best if available.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil and sauté chopped onions for 5-7 minutes until golden.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onions, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, parsley, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, seasoning, and pepper.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
  5. While baking, whisk together the glaze ingredients in a separate bowl.
  6. After 40 minutes, spread the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
