Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart, for 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. Cook the beef bacon in the skillet until crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Let it cool and crumble into bits.
  5. Layer half of the ground beef, beef bacon, and shredded cheese over the baked tater tots.
  6. Drizzle ranch dressing over the layered ingredients and repeat the layering process with remaining ingredients.
  7. Bake the loaded nachos at 375°F (190°C) for 5-8 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional jalapeños or sour cream before serving.
