Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar (or honey), minced garlic, grated ginger, gochujang (if using), rice vinegar, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken in a large resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's thoroughly coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. About 30 minutes before cooking, preheat the rotisserie to medium heat around 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and secure it to the rotisserie spit, ensuring it is stable and well-balanced.
  5. Place the spit with the chicken into the preheated rotisserie and roast for about 1 to 1.5 hours. Baste during the last 15-20 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
