Baking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, 3 eggs, and vegetable oil in a large bowl. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, blend the ricotta cheese, 4 eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the chocolate batter into the greased pan, then carefully spoon the ricotta mixture over it without mixing.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes until center is set but jiggles slightly; the top should be golden-brown.
- Cool in the pan for at least 2 hours, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thick, then fold in the whipped topping.
- Once cake is cooled, frost the top with the pudding mixture evenly.
- Chill the frosted cake briefly to set before serving.
- Slice into generous squares and enjoy.

Notes
For best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature and avoid overmixing the ricotta layer.
