- Prepare baking sheets by lining two with parchment paper.
- Make the dough by mixing very soft butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Combine all-purpose flour, corn starch, and salt into the creamy mixture until just combined.
- Chill the dough wrapped in plastic wrap for at least one hour.
- Roll out the dough to ⅜-inch thickness on a floured surface and cut into fun shapes.
- Bake cookies in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-14 minutes.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, half and half (or milk), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Decorate cooled cookies by dipping them in the glaze, then adding sprinkles while wet.
- Allow decorated cookies to dry at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour.
