Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 cup Almonds finely chopped, can substitute with hazelnuts or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Honey use pure honey for better flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon alternatives include allspice or cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg consider using cloves for a different kick
For the Wrapper
  • 12 pieces Spring Roll Wrappers can substitute with filo pastry
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter melted, can substitute with coconut oil
For Finishing Touches
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar optional for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine finely chopped almonds, honey, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Stir until the mixture is sticky, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Ensure the wrapper is smooth.
  3. Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of filling onto the lower corner of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the corner over the filling tightly, then roll it towards the opposite corner.
  5. Brush the top corner with melted butter to seal the roll.
  6. Continue rolling and sealing until all wrappers and filling are used. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Allow 10 minutes for preheating.
  8. Brush the tops of the cigars with melted butter before baking.
  9. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
