Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three round cake pans by greasing them or lining them with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, blend eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Divide the batter into three bowls. Mix one with melted chocolate, one with pureed strawberries, and leave the last plain.
- Pour each batter into prepared cake pans, smoothing the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking with a toothpick.
- Remove from oven and cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once cool, stack layers with cream cheese frosting spread between each and coat the exterior.
