Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three round cake pans by greasing them or lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix into dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Divide the batter into three bowls. Mix one with melted chocolate, one with pureed strawberries, and leave the last plain.
  5. Pour each batter into prepared cake pans, smoothing the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking with a toothpick.
  6. Remove from oven and cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Once cool, stack layers with cream cheese frosting spread between each and coat the exterior.
