  • 1 bunch Asparagus Medium diameter spears work best
  • 4 slices Prosciutto Pancetta or ham can be alternatives
  • 1 cup White cheddar cheese Gouda, Havarti, or Gruyere also work
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry Use store-bought for ease
  • 1 large Egg Flax egg can be used for a vegan option
For the Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Extra-virgin olive oil Any cooking oil can be used
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Maple syrup can substitute
  • 1 pinch Kosher salt Sea salt can also be used
  • 1 pinch Freshly ground black pepper Use white pepper if preferred

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan, then stir in honey and kosher salt to prepare the glaze.
  3. Season the asparagus with olive oil and kosher salt.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4x4 inch squares.
  5. Assemble the wraps with prosciutto, asparagus, and white cheddar cheese.
  6. Fold the pastry corners over the filling, seal, and brush with honey glaze.
  7. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
