  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Spice Blend Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adjust quantity based on preference.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Choose high-quality for enhanced flavor.
For the Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic Fresh garlic recommended.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Substitute half-and-half for lighter alternative.
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese Use less for a lighter sauce.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Try pepper jack for an extra kick if desired.
For the Pasta
  • 12 ounces Linguine Alternatives like fettuccine, penne, or rigatoni work well.

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large pot
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels, season with Cajun spice blend. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken, and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest.
  2. In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant, watching to prevent burning.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, simmer gently for 2 minutes. Whisk in cream cheese until melted, then add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth.
  4. Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain linguine, then add to the creamy sauce. Toss to coat, using reserved pasta water as needed.
  5. Slice chicken, arrange on top of linguine, add extra Parmesan and Cajun seasoning if desired. Serve warm with a side salad.
