  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing the beef.

  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika A must-have for that Tex-Mex vibe.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder Adjust based on spice preference.

  • to taste Pepper Essential for flavor enhancement.
For the Finish
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Freshly shredded melts better.
  • 2 cups Fritos Corn Chips Crush and stir in just before serving.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until evenly browned.
  2. Sauté Onion and Garlic: Stir in 1 diced onion and 3 minced garlic cloves. Cook for 2-3 minutes until onions are translucent.
  3. Add Spices: Mix in 1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika, ground cumin, and chili powder, along with salt and pepper. Stir for 1 minute.
  4. Incorporate Cabbage: Add 4 cups of chopped cabbage, toss and cook for 10 minutes until tender.
  5. Stir in Rotel Tomatoes: Pour in 1 can of undrained Rotel tomatoes, simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Melt Cheese: Fold in 1 to 1.5 cups of freshly shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Add Fritos: Gently mix in 2 cups of crushed Fritos just before serving.
