Mixing Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, egg, and melted butter. Add vanilla if using.
- Gently pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; lumps are fine.
- Allow the batter to rest for about 5 minutes.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden.
- Serve warm with butter and maple syrup or preferred toppings.
