Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the oven rack in the center.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine Frank’s Red Hot, dark brown sugar, garlic powder, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Pat dry the chicken thighs, season with salt and pepper, and coat with corn starch.
  4. Heat about an inch of olive oil in a deep-sided skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped scallions. Serve with cooked rice if desired.
