Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the 8x8 inch baking dish generously with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Take half of the sugar cookie dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  4. Place approximately 8 Peeps evenly atop the pressed cookie dough.
  5. Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the top of the Peeps.
  6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 8 minutes.
  7. Remove the dish from the oven and gently swirl the softened Peeps around.
  8. Return the dish to the oven for an additional 12 minutes.
  9. Remove the dish from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature.
  10. Refrigerate the cooled bars for about one hour.
  11. Slice the Easter Peeps Sugar Cookie Bars into squares.
