Cooking Procedure
- In a large mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar cheese, spices, and a beaten egg. Mix until well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into patties approximately 1 inch thick and place them on a plate. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chilled patties and fry for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Optional: Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
- Transfer the cooked patties to a serving platter and enjoy them as is or on toasted bread with a fresh salad.
