- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Brush both sides of the bread with melted butter or olive oil.
- Toast the oiled bread slices inside the air fryer basket for about 2–3 minutes until golden and slightly crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Form wells in the center of each toast slice using your fingers or the back of a spoon to hold the egg.
- Crack a large egg into each well, and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the egg.
- Place the filled toast back in the air fryer and air-fry for about 4–6 minutes until yolks are cooked to your preference.
- Carefully remove the toast, garnish with herbs like chives or parsley, and serve immediately.
