Directions
- Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. In the last 3 minutes, add the broccoli. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Season the Chicken: Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add butter and melt. Stir in garlic powder, red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, chives, and adjust seasoning.
- Combine Everything: Return pasta, broccoli, and chicken to the skillet. Toss with sauce and reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Serve the Dish: Plate warm, garnishing with additional Parmesan, parsley, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
