Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash mini sweet peppers thoroughly, slice them in half lengthwise, and remove seeds and membranes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- If desired, fold in cooked crumbled bacon and chopped green onions.
- Fill each pepper half with the creamy filling.
- Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top if using.
- Lightly drizzle olive oil over each pepper.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until tender and slightly golden.
- Allow to cool for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
