Equipment

  • Large pot

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes until the meat is no longer pink and starting to brown. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onions, minced garlic, diced carrots, and celery to the pot. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are translucent and the vegetables start to soften.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, chopped potatoes, corn, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Give everything a good stir to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, mixing thoroughly. Bring the soup to a rolling boil over high heat.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let the Hamburger Soup simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Before serving, taste the soup and adjust seasoning. Ladle the Hamburger Soup into bowls, garnishing with fresh parsley.
