- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles until al dente for about 7–10 minutes.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned and translucent, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, followed by the tomato sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Blend cream cheese and sour cream in a mixing bowl until smooth, then fold in the drained egg noodles.
- Layer half of the creamy noodles in the baking dish, spread the meat sauce over it, then add the remaining noodles.
- Pour any remaining meat sauce on top and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes.
- Let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
