Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles until al dente for about 7–10 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned and translucent, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, followed by the tomato sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Blend cream cheese and sour cream in a mixing bowl until smooth, then fold in the drained egg noodles.
  6. Layer half of the creamy noodles in the baking dish, spread the meat sauce over it, then add the remaining noodles.
  7. Pour any remaining meat sauce on top and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes.
  9. Let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
