Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract until fully mixed and creamy.
  4. Fold in the flour, baking soda, and kosher salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chunks, saving a few for topping.
  6. Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are just set.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
