- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, and eggs. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture into the greased baking dish, shaping it into a loaf form or spreading it evenly.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes, checking that the internal temperature reaches 155°F to 160°F.
- After 45 minutes, sprinkle additional cheese on top and return to the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
