  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls or regular dinner rolls
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken leftover rotisserie chicken works best
For the Flavor
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce smoky variety recommended
  • 1 medium red onion sliced thinly
For the Topping
  • 2 cups shredded cheese sharp cheddar recommended
  • 2 tablespoons butter for brushing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and lay the bottom halves on the baking sheet.
  3. Mix shredded cooked chicken with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Add sliced red onion and shredded cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls over the assembled sliders and brush with melted butter.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 12 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Cut apart the sliders and serve warm.
