- Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub Yukon Gold potatoes and slice into ¼-inch rounds. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (204°C).
- Prepare Foil: Cut two pieces of aluminum foil, each 18x12 inches. Spread a tablespoon of butter in the center of each sheet.
- Layer Ingredients: Layer half of the potato slices on the first buttered rectangle. Sprinkle with kosher salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and diced onion. Top with a few pats of butter. Repeat with remaining potatoes.
