Shortbread Bars Recipe

Indulge in a delightful treat with these heavenly Shortbread Bars!
Ingredients:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup crushed biscuits
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
Directions:
. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
. Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
. Melt the chocolate chips ,sprinkle the crushed biscuits over the melted chocolate layer, mix well .
. Gently pressing them down on top of baked dough.
. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the biscuit layer.
. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the whipped cream.
. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing into bars. Enjoy the heavenly goodness
