Indulge in the scrumptious world of Oreo Dirt Cake!
Ingredients:
• 1 package of Oreo cookies (approx. 36 cookies)
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, melted
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2 (3.4 oz) packages of instant chocolate pudding mix
• 3 1/2 cups cold milk
• 12 oz Cool Whip (whipped topping)
• Gummy worms (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs (you can use a food processor or place them in a sealed plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin).
. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
. Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the “dirt” layer.
. In another mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
. In a separate bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking together the pudding mix and cold milk until it thickens.
. Gently fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture.
. Layer the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust in the baking dish.
. Pour the chocolate pudding on top of the cream cheese layer.
. Chill the Oreo Dirt Cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until it’s set.
. Garnish with gummy worms if desired, and enjoy your delightful Oreo Dirt Cake!
