Welcome to my blog, where I’m thrilled to share one of my all-time favorite recipes with you – Oatmeal Cake! ???????? This delectable treat combines the heartiness of oats with a moist and tender cake, resulting in a dessert that’s both comforting and irresistible.


Ingredients

• 1 cup quick-cooking oats
• 1 1/2 cups boiling water
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2 In a bowl, combine oats and boiling water. Let stand for 10 minutes.
3 In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
4 Beat in eggs and vanilla.
5 Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
6 Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
7 Stir in oat mixture and mix well.
8 Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Notes

Extra frosting For Your Oatmeal Cake ?

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

1 Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2 Add the brown sugar and milk and stir until well combined.
3 Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
4 Remove from heat and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
5 Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and stir until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled oatmeal cake.
6 Sprinkle the sweetened shredded coconut and chopped walnuts on top of the frosting.
7 Place the cake under the broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the frosting is caramelized and bubbly.
8 Let the cake cool completely before slicing and serving.
