Ingredients:
• 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1/2 cup cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1-2 tablespoons red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)
• Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Directions:
. In a bowl, coat the chicken pieces evenly with cornstarch.
. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
. In the same pan, combine sugar, water, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens.
. Return the cooked chicken to the pan, coating it in the spicy-sweet sauce. Cook for a few minutes until the chicken is fully coated and heated through.
. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
. Serve hot and enjoy the fiery flavor explosion!
