Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup brewed coffee, cooled

For the Coffee Cream Frosting:

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 2 tablespoons brewed coffee, cooled
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream, vanilla extract, and brewed coffee.
. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.
. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Coffee Cream Frosting:
. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and well combined.
. Once the cakes have cooled completely, spread a layer of the coffee cream frosting on top of one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top with the remaining frosting.
. Slice, serve, and enjoy
