Indulge in the heavenly delight of Bavarian Cream!
Ingredients:
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1/2 cup whole milk
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 4 egg yolks
• 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
. In a saucepan, heat the cream, milk, and half of the sugar over medium heat until it simmers.
. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until pale.
. Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking continuously to avoid curdling.
. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens (do not boil).
. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom. Then, stir it into the cream mixture until fully dissolved.
. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and let it cool to room temperature.
. Pour the Bavarian Cream into individual molds or glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
