Banana Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan. ????️????
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. ????????
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract. ????????????
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. ????????
  7. Cool cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. ????????
